"It is the unknown that defines our existence. We are constantly searching, not just for answers to our questions, but for new questions."

USS Komorkis
The year is 2393 and space as we know it has been changed forever over the last twenty-some-odd years. The Romulans have dealt with the Hobus incident, the Dominion War has left its mark across three quadrants, and with the return of the USS Voyager not only have the Borg been faced down but a new way to travel to the Delta Quadrant has been found. All of this though has left many wondering if the Federation has forgotten its core purpose and if Starfleet still remembers what it is truly supposed to do when not faced with war and crisis after crisis. The citizens of the Federation are ready to be inspired once more, not forced to live in a security state due to the fears of the few. And the first order of business is to start exploring once more...

That call has been heard and the USS Komorkis, an Insignia-class starship was commissioned under the command of Commander Eranfel. The Komorkis has the distinct privilege of being the testbed ship for the first Multitronic Computer Core running the vessel thanks to an agreement with the Kroplasin people. Assigned with the mission to seek out new life and search for the unknown, to explore where none have dared to go, and to dream with the brightest minds that Starfleet has. If necessary it is even prepared to face the shadows that arise of enemies who would do the Federation Harm. But this is a ship meant for exploration, and with it, set to be home to one of the most diverse crews and minds that Starfleet has put together, along with its most advanced technology available.

Welcome to the USS Komorkis. We are a Star Trek simulation set in the year 2393, which is just a few years before the events of Star Trek: Picard. We have all come together here to follow in the vision of what Star Trek truly is: to explore the unknown, to seek out new people and new friends, and maybe even discover new civilizations along the way. Those who join us are the heart and soul of the Komorkis, the command team is merely the guiding hand who weaves the story to ensure your growth as a player and a chance for you to tell your story aboard our ship.

If this is what you have been searching for I personally invite you to take a moment and join us on our adventure. We've been waiting for you.

Komorkis Crew,

Good morning to you all. I wanted briefly share some positive news to start your weekend off with the announcement of a few awards before the end of the month. First and foremost I want to thank each and every one of you that have joined the sim as we prepare to launch into our very first mission. You are the founding crew members and to recognize that each and every one of you has been awarded a sim specific award to highlight that, The ARC. I’m looking forward to all of the adventures and character development that is to come as we explore and discover together.

Next up I’m pleased to announce the Captain’s Merit recipient for May, Lieutenant Madeleine De Saint Castine. Since coming aboard the Komorkis Lieutenant De Saint Castine has presented a character with a complex background and the personality to go with it. Her posts have been nothing short of fun to read and write with as well.

Furthermore OOCly the player, Amethyst has not been afraid to offer a joint post to anyone would like one, making all feel welcome aboard the ship. It's also made her the crew member with the highest post count this month.

And finally Lt. Commander Prida has awarded her Executive Officers Merit for May as well. In her own words she had this to say about the recipient,”Commander Eranfel has done a fabulous job building a universe for a young, new crew to develop into a crew to be proud of. We’re building a great little story and that’s testament to the hard work the CO has put into the sim. I am proud to be the first officer for this fine bunch, and for a CO with such potential as ours.” I’m flattered, and honestly everything I’ve done has been for all of you. So if anything that award is your award crew.

Finally I want to touch note on two more awards, the Crews Choice Award and Post of the Month Award. When the month closes each of you will be able to go to your use panel and click on the Awards Nomination link. Please choose a crew member you feel is deserving of each award and for the Post of the Month make sure to include a link to the post you’re nominating as well. All nominations should be received by June 7th. If you have questions or need help please reach out to me or Lt. Commander Prida.

I’m looking forward to a wonderful June all and can’t wait to see what we unleash. Until then, happy simming.

Good Afternoon Komorkis Crew,

We’re nearing the end of May and with it I have some wonderful news for everyone. First and foremost I’d like to welcome aboard our three newest crew members. Joining us is LJG Zaid Moreno, who will be talking on the role of Assistant Chief Security/Tactical Officer. This is Zaid’s first Star Trek sim and he’s told is that he’s very happy to be apart of the Komorkis family. We’re happy to have you here Zaid! We’d also like to welcome Lt. Ezrik Kaz, our new Chief Engineering Officer and Lt. Naddia Yole, our new Chief Operations Officer. Both are very important roles in things to come and the characters are both very unique. I suspect there will be a lot of great story telling to come.

I’d also like to remind everyone that we have four days till the end of the month. That’s four days to get our posts in for the month. After that I’ll be opening up award nominations for post of the month and crew’s choice award. Please keep an eye on Discord for how award nominations will work, I promise it will be a very simple process.

As always if you ever have any questions, suggestions, or concerns my DMs as well as LCDR Prida’s are always open.

Oh and one more thing! With June around the corner and us having the proper amount of crew to launch I’ll be letting is wrapping up our coming aboard posts within the next two weeks and then we’re going to kick off our first mission. I hope you’re as excited as I am. :)

Until next time,

Greetings ALCON,

I want to give a quick update on the website. After trying out a few different themes and struggling to get the css right, which often resulted in issues on the writing panel or wiki our XO kindly stepped up to the plate. We now have a fully functional and rather sleek looking default theme called LCARS active on the website. I fort one think it's great. If you happen to like it make sure to thank Lt.Cmdr Prida as well.
